An evaluation license is meant to verify that the app connects to your Jenkins site(s), synchronizes jobs and builds, and links them to your issues. While evaluating, the app limits how much it synchronizes and stores. Once you purchase a license, these limits no longer apply.
Default Limits
These limits apply when a site is enabled, when a job is linked, and while synchronizing. Anything beyond them is not enabled, linked or synchronized:
| Limit | Default |
|---|---|
| Enabled Jenkins sites | 1 |
| Linked root jobs | 10 |
| Linked jobs, including multi-branch children | 100 |
| Most recent builds synchronized per job | 25 |
On top of these, the data stored by the app may not exceed the following totals:
| Total | Maximum |
|---|---|
| Jenkins sites | 2 |
| Linked root jobs | 20 |
| Linked jobs | 200 |
| Builds | 5,000 |
| Links between builds and issues | 10,000 |
| Linked issues | 1,000 |
The pages of the app show the limits that apply while you evaluate.
Exceeding the Limits
When the stored data exceeds one of the maximum totals, for example because the app was used with a license before, the evaluation is blocked. Jobs and builds are no longer synchronized, and the pages of the app show how much data the app currently holds. The jobs and builds that were already synchronized are still shown on your issues and projects.
To continue, you can purchase a license, reset the configuration of the app using the Reset button on the configuration page to evaluate from scratch, or request custom limits.
Requesting Custom Limits
If your evaluation needs more sites, jobs or builds than the default limits allow, a Jira administrator can request custom limits from Marvelution support. Please include the number of sites, jobs and builds you expect to evaluate with, and how long you need to evaluate.
Also include the Server ID of your Jira instance, which is shown under Administration > System > System info.
Marvelution support sends you an override token for your Jira instance. To apply it, open the configuration page of the app as a Jira administrator, click Enter override in the Evaluation Limit Override section, paste the token and save. While evaluating, the Enter an evaluation limit override link in the evaluation message at the top of each page of the app opens the same dialog.
The section shows whether an override is active and until when, and which limits it changed compared to the defaults. Use Remove override to return to the default limits. You can enter a token before you switch to an evaluation license, the override only takes effect while evaluating.
Custom limits end on the date agreed with Marvelution support, after which the default limits apply again.
